Vienna Underground: The collaborating team are an international group of professional media artists brought together by the worldwide network provided through the e-MobilArt workshop, and funded by the European Union, Avek: The Promotion Centre for Audiovisual Culture, Finland, Arts Council of England, De Montfort Univeristy and BMUK.

The project scripts an interactive Mobile Video Game related to urban spaces, using mobile phone QR barcode sensing, that presents thematic content by progressively revealing the layers of a contemporary film drama. The interactive film, game and installation were scripted and produced in Vienna. The scenarios communicate universal issues, adding to a global conversation on migration, the black economy and the underground world of cities.

Using mobile technologies to read QR and Datamatrix codes, participants are invited to engage in a game and installation using their personal smart mobiles and participate in scenarios created to reflect on the mythic contagion of MIASMA. This is experienced through an interactive film, based on reworking the themes of THE THIRD MAN for the 21st century.
